The 1980′s Fashion Sourcebook was somewhat useful as there is little else written about such a recent decade. Original sources (internet) were more helpful although more time consuming. Peacock’s drawing style has always been difficult to translate to real bodies and the small size of the publication and the faint color make it even less helpful as a costume design research tool.

I expected more normal everyday fashions of the 8o’s to help remind me of what I wore to costume a play. very little pictures, nothing usable for me. The written information was enjoyable reading and helped jogged my memory, but I wanted pictures.
