She designs the outfits and then puts them in a scrapbook to save her designs. She is a very creative student. She is very artistic and smart. Even though she is very intelligent it doesn't bore her at all. It is nothing like a paper doll type of item. <br /> <br />I think this item could be used by children/teens of all ages. However, keep in mind that they do need to have the ability to cut very well since the designs are cut out by the child, not punched out. My daughter can spend hours making new designs. When she has friends over they usually get the book out and create their own designs as well. <br /> <br />The book does have stencils to follow and cut out, but it also recommends to be creative and explains how to use different parts of the stencils to make additional types of clothing. <br /> <br />I highly recommend this product for children who are interested in this type of activity! I think this item could be used by children/teens of all ages. It's a super fun kit. You get lots of different papers to be your fabrics, but we like looking through magazines and the newspaper for cool patterns too.
